Directions for use: our first language, the visual language of drawing is central to thinking. Each week will be a call to arms, or rather hands—with a pencil or pen attached. I am going to draw out my ideas on how we find meaning and connection through materials and drawing. I hope you share, engage, argue and contribute.

I am an award-winning artist, my work can be found in the only illustrated version of Beloved by Toni Morrison, and celebrating Indigenous heroes in Wab Kinew’s Go Show the World and gracing the walls of numerous collectors including Spike Lee. I believe drawing is a fundamental practice for human flourishing and if you can light a match you can draw. Stick figures rule.
